History

Archimede Pellecchia had a dream. Born in the small town of San Pelino, located on the state of Abruzzo, L’Aquila province, he moved to Venezuela after WWII, looking for employment opportunities. He had a real passion for flavors and food, and he always wanted to open a Pasta Factory with the help of his wife Zoraida di Pellecchia.

His son, Augusto Pellecchia, developed the same passion for good Italian food, after being raised by his grandparents in the same town his dad was born. As a commemoration for his dad, Augusto decided to follow his dream.

With the help of his wife, Alexandra di Pellecchia, an old friend, Nemesio

“Nemo” Morantes, and family Gabriel

“Gabo” Robles, this dream comes true.

He opens a restaurant, where the

pastas, sauces and even the desserts

are homemade, using the tricks from

his grandmother and achieving an

authentic Italian flavor. He names his restaurant “Il Vecchio Pasta Factory & Ristorante”

Il Vecchio is Italian for “the old man”, term of endearment that Augusto used for his dad.
